COVID-19 Health and Safety Measures for In-Person Lessons

In accordance with Washington State Governor Inslee's December 10 “Stay Safe, Stay Healthy” proclamation, and in consideration of personal health and safety


Students and family members must:

- Wash/sanitize hands before and after music lesson

- Wear a facemask at all times while in the studio (note: facemasks with exhalation valves are NOT acceptable as they do not prevent transmission to other persons; neck gaiters are NOT acceptable as they may split large aerosols into smaller ones)

- Wait outside until invited into the studio (to allow for cleaning between lessons)

- Follow physical distancing measures when inside the studio

- Cancel the lesson if you or a member of your household has reason to believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, or have any of the following symptoms:

     - Cough

     - Chills

     - Fatigue

     - Fever

     - Shortness of breath

     - Sore throat

     - Loss of taste/smell

     - Muscle pain

     - Headache

- Sign an In-Person Lesson Waiver Form (1 per family) before commencing in-person lessons


Instructor (Davis Hill) will:

- Teach online if he or a member of his household has reason to believe he has been exposed to COVID-19, or has any of the following symptoms:

     - Cough

     - Chills

     - Fatigue

     - Fever

     - Shortness of breath

     - Sore throat

     - Loss of taste/smell

     - Muscle pain

     - Headache

- Wash/sanitize hands before and after music lesson

- Sanitize common surfaces in between lessons (piano keyboard[s], doorknobs)

- Wear a facemask at all times while in the studio

- Follow physical distancing measures when inside the studio

- Demonstrate piano technique on a separate keyboard


IF YOU FEEL SICK, DO NOT COME TO LESSONS. YOU WILL BE DISMISSED. Call to cancel and schedule a makeup at www.peakpiano.net/calendar.


Peak Piano Studios reserves the right to convert in-person lessons to online lessons at its discretion, including:


- failure of student/family to abide by In-Person Lesson Policy

- increase of coronavirus infection rate in Spokane/Kootenai counties

- Spokane/Kootenai counties return to an earlier Phase of the state/county coronavirus plan that prohibits in-person lessons

- federal or regional health authorities recommend against in-person meetings

COVID-19 In-Person Lesson Waiver

You agree that meeting in-person during the COVID-19 pandemic presents certain unavoidable risks regardless of sanitation, personal protective equipment, and physical distancing measures. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peak Piano Studios should you contract the COVID-19 virus.
